Formerly an Antiques Shop, renovation started in early 2014 following extensive research trips to Micropubs across the country. Well, Landlord Grum insists these trips were for research and not an excuse to visit some of the finest alehouses in the land. In July of the same year we were ready to open, and those trips proved worthy as a unique establishment was born.
Although only small, we do have three separate areas. The opening room is where you'll find the small bar whilst the cosy middle section features comfy chairs and an Arcade Games Table. The back room is the perfect place to enjoy a chat or play a board game whilst also being the space where we host our events.
With four handpulls serving Real Ales from smaller breweries around the country we quickly became known for the quality and variety of Beer on offer. In the years since we have introduced an extensive range of Real Cider with around eight readily available to the delight of many, winning CAMRA Potteries Cider Pub of the Year for the last two years.
Grum's Rum Bar features some of the most unique rums around, think Ron de Jeremy XO and Blue Monkey Banana Rum. Pirates are most definitely welcome. We have a small stock of other spirits and wines, as well as soft drinks for the non-drinkers amongst you.
Stick with us though as we don't intend to rest on our laurels. We have plans afoot to keep on evolving and improving, with exciting developments planned for the coming years.
Whatever the reason for visiting us at the Bridge you're sure to get a friendly welcome. See you soon!
